About Anthony Diosdi
Anthony concentrates his practice in all areas of international tax, personal taxation, corporate tax, and estate tax planning. However, Anthony devotes a significant portion of his practice to international tax matters. Anything advises high net worth individuals, multinational corporations, major privately held businesses, and a number of Fortune 500 companies on outbound and inbound tax planning, including the taxation of Iaas, PaaS, and SaaS cloud service offerings, taxation of digital transactions, U.S. tariffs, tax-related intellectual property matters, foreign investment in U.S. property matters, foreign investments in U.S. property, cross-border wealth succession, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, U.S. Exit Tax, Subpart F and GILTI minimization, foreign tax credit planning, and efficient offshore dividend repatriation.
Anthony has been asked to serve as an expert witness in a number of cases including in the High Court of London in which he provided an opinion regarding the U.S.-U.K. estate, gift, and generation skipping tax treaty.
Anthony is an experienced trial attorney who regularly defends clients in high-stakes disputes with the IRS involving tax controversies, civil tax litigation, intellectual penalty controversies (IRS Form 3520, 3520-A, 5471, and 5472), criminal tax defenses, white-collar defense, government regulatory enforcement matters, and complex civil litigation. Anthony has tried many civil and criminal; cases in federal and state courts.
Anthony has written for publications such as Thomson Reuters Checkpoint International Taxation, Checkpoint Practical Tax Strategies, Checkpoint Estate Planning, Checkpoint Corporate Taxation, American Bar Association, International Taxation, the Florida Bar Tax Section Bulletin, and the California Tax Lawyer. Anthony has been featured as well as quoted in publications such as Tax Notes, Bloomberg Law, Law360, Herald Sun, Australia, and Telex Hungarian News. Anthony is a frequent lecturer, panelist, and contributor at national conferences such as the California Society of CPAs, Cornell University, Contra Costa Bar Association, and Strafford.
