About Anthony Diosdi

Anthony Diosdi maintains a national and international tax practice, focusing on most areas of international tax, corporate tax, income tax, state income tax and franchise taxes, and federal gift and estate tax. Anthony devotes a significant portion of his practice to international tax matters in which he has advised high net worth individuals, multinational corporations, major privately held businesses, and a number of Fortune 500 companies on outbound and inbound tax planning, including the taxation of laas, PaaS, and SaaS cloud service offerings, taxation of digital transactions, U.S. tariffs, tax-related intellectual property matters, foreign investment in U.S. property, cross-border wealth succession, U.S. exit tax, Subpart F and Net CFC Tested income minimization, foreign tax credit planning, and efficient offshore dividend repatriation. Anthony also renders advice to U.S. and foreign businesses on the structuring of taxable and tax-free acquisition and Anthony is routinely engaged by corporations, law and accounting firms to provide such advice.

In addition to providing planning and corporate advice, Anthony frequently represents clients nationally in controversies before the Internal Revenue Service, U.S. Tax Court, Federal District Courts, Court of Federal Claims, Circuit Courts of Appeals, state courts, and Anthony has served as an expert witness concerning the U.S.-U.K. estate, gift, and generation skipping tax treaty before the High Court of Justice in London, United Kingdom. Anthony has extensive courtroom experience and has litigated groundbreaking cases that have been covered extensively by national news outlets such as the New York Times, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, and the National Taxpayer Advocate.

Anthony is the author of a number of publications in Thomson Reuters Checkpoint International Taxation, Forbes, Checkpoint Practical Tax Strategies, Checkpoint Corporate Taxation, American Bar Association, The Florida Bar Tax Section Bulletin, and the California Tax Lawyer addressing tax techniques and trends affecting international mergers and acquisitions, tax treaties, taxation of digital transactions, cross-border estate planning, and the litigation involving international penalties. Anthony has been featured as well as quoted in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Tax Notes, Bloomberg Law News, Law360, Herald Sun, Australia, and Telex Hungarian News. Anthony is a frequent lecturer, panelist, and contributor at national conferences sponsored by the California Society of CPAs, Cornell University, Contra Costa Bar Association, and Barbri.
